The government led by Nana Akufo-Addo should put this opinion into critical consideration because SHS And JHS teachers deserves some monetary compensation for the consistent work over time. It would be a welcome development that all government SHS And JHS teachers above 35 years should be paid GH¢ 5000 on 16th March.
The main reason why this monetary compensation should be paid to government SHS And JHS teachers above 35 years of age is that these set of teachers are most likely to be the married class. And it would be profitable and impactful to their various families after receiving this funds.
We all can examine and agree that the Covid’19 pandemic has affected so many sectors in the country and the educational sector is one of the majorly affected sector. SHS And JHS teachers must have went through a lot and most especially the married ones among them.
However, with the immense negative effect of Covid’19 pandemic on government SHS And JHS teachers, it is my humble submission to pass across this valid opinion that all government SHS and JHS teachers above 35 years of age should be paid GH¢ 5000 on 16th March.
This will further boost the teachers desire to teach the students properly and it will also go a long way in helping their family with some basic needs.
